Mana Tangata Turi
Working with Maori Deaf to inform their communities and build a roopu led by tangata turi. Service guidelines for providers working with tangata turi and their whanau are available as well as sign language and Maori deaf awareness workshops here at Te Roopu Waiora Trust.

Pae Huarahi
In partnership with Ngati Kapo and Tangata Turi, a project team is developing ways to engage, evaluate and assist providers improve their services to include whanau with disabilities. Whanua are encouraged to participate in designing and driving this intitiative across all sectors.

Project Karere…
Mahi hangarau ki te whakaora whanau haua Technology to improve whanau access
Project Karere was formed to help improve access to health services for whanau with disabilities using technology. Producing digital audio and visual panui to increase the methods of communication and range of information available to whanau haua.
This includes:

Video Remote Interpreting (VRI) linking to Trilingual (Te Reo) NZSL interpreters by video conferencing to enable access by whanau haua to hui and appointments.

A Video Panui providing information of interest to whanau haua posted to our web site or available for download by podcast and live streaming.

A web radio service broadcasting the audio version of the same information available in the video panui and accessed by the same methods.
